InSync is a very modular plug-in to an existing traffic signal cabinet and controller that reduces stops along an arterial network by 90%, travel time by 20-60%, and fuel consumption by 10-20%. 

Deployment: The InSync hardware consists of one camera per approach, a processor that mounts inside the traffic signal cabinet and detector cards that function as the interface between the InSync processor and the traffic signal controller.  Installation and configuration of the InSync system is extremely easy, quick and non-invasive.  In approximately 4 hours (per intersection), the InSync system can be installed, configured and be operational.  It requires zero client-staff hours to configure the system.  The system is automated and requires very minimal maintenance.

1. InSync is the only integrated detection and optimization system in the market.  You do not need to install any additional detection devices to deploy your adaptive system and thus save significant infrastructure costs.

InSync is an add-on to your existing system.  This means that you do not have to discard existing hardware, change your central-system software or upgrade your infrastructure in any way.  The only requirement for deploying InSync is that your traffic signal cabinet be equipped with a standard detector rack.  Thus, you save considerable amounts of money in infrastructure upgrades and having to train your staff on maintaining new hardware.
4. InSync is a plug-in system that converts analog signal controller operation to digital controller operation.  This is invaluable, since:
1.  it permits more agile phase combinations
2.  it eliminates transition in controllers (even when controllers come out of preemption)
3.  it eliminates the need to run your entire corridor on the same cycle length, and
4. it eliminates dwelling on main-street green after a certain point in the cycle
5. InSync is a real-time optimizer.  Unlike other systems in the market, InSync does not use predictive modeling but uses real-time information to optimize traffic flow.  Predictive systems have proven to be sluggish in their response and have been known to lag behind by 15 minutes which is not acceptable on congested corridors.
