About Us...
Rhythm Engineering has expertise in Traffic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Wireless Communications (both licensed and unlicensed spectrums), and Ethernet networking. We have focused expertise in arterial operations that include traffic signal optimization, Traffic Management Center (TMC) design/deployment/operations, traffic signal controller hardware and software, and traffic signal system integration.
Rhythm Engineering has had the privileged experience in designing and deploying several TMCs for a number of municipal agencies. We have experience in deploying central system software for traffic signal control and integration and all types of traffic signal controller architecture (Type 170, 2070, NEMA EPIC, NEMA EPAC, NEMA ASC/2, and NEMA ASC/3.) Our staff also has the experience of designing, deploying, and managing the second largest wireless ITS deployment in the United States (Operation Green Light in the Kansas City Metro Area.)
Rhythm Engineering has several patent-pending inventions in the traffic engineering arena. The list of inventions include, central system software, system/incident detection devices using radar and video image processing, video-based vehicle detection and data collection, and InSync, a NextGen Adaptive Traffic Signal System.
Our mission is to serve the transportation industry by providing innovative and cost-effective solutions to improve the quality of life of the motorist and sustainability of transportation infrastructure.
